Weekly Reflection - Third Week ( Phase - 1 )

Weekly Reflection - Third Week

"Teaching is not about filling a bucket, but lighting a fire." — William Butler Yeats

The third week of teaching practice, though limited to just two days—July 31st and August 1st, 2025—was truly enriching. The classroom atmosphere was vibrant, with students showing keen interest and active participation, especially during grammar sessions on auxiliary verbs and question tags. Using activity charts and cards, I transformed grammar into an engaging experience. Their enthusiasm reaffirmed the joy of teaching. I also had the heartwarming opportunity to assist in serving the noon meal, strengthening my bond with the school community. These two days boosted my confidence, improved my content delivery, and deepened the connection I share with my students.

Day 9 ( 31st July, 2025 )

The day began with the serene rhythm of the school prayer, setting a positive tone. I had a substitution class with 8A in the first period, where I revised previously taught lessons. The students were attentive and responsive. During my allotted fifth period after lunch, I introduced the concept of auxiliary verbs using well-prepared charts featuring positive and negative exemplars. The students grasped the concept quickly and completed the activity cards with enthusiasm and accuracy. Their eagerness to learn made the teaching process truly enjoyable. It was a fulfilling and pleasant day, where meaningful learning and joyful teaching seamlessly blended.

Day 10 ( 1st August, 2025 )

Day 10 was both productive and pleasant, filled with active learning and joyful interaction. I took my allotted class in 8A, where the students were eager to learn about question tags. I introduced the concept using engaging charts, explained the rules, and demonstrated examples to make it clear. Each student then got a chance to frame their own sentence along with an appropriate question tag on the board. Their enthusiasm and participation were remarkable. The class was lively, interactive, and deeply engaging. This session not only enhanced their understanding but also strengthened my connection with the students. It was truly a wonderful day.
