Weekly Reflection - Sixth week ( Phase -1)

Weekly Reflection – Sixth Week

"A good teacher is like a candle—it consumes itself to light the way for others." — Mustafa Kemal Atatürk

The sixth week of my teaching practice, held from 8th to 12th September 2025, was an engaging and deeply meaningful phase. Coming back after the Onam vacation, the classrooms were filled with renewed energy and curiosity. I introduced and taught the autobiographical lesson “The Day My World Changed” by Malala Yousafzai. The lesson’s theme of courage and resilience resonated well with the students, sparking thoughtful discussions. Beyond classroom teaching, I actively participated in serving the mid-day meal, which strengthened my rapport with students. The week also marked a surprise principal’s visit and an insightful parent-teacher meeting, enriching my overall experience.

Day 21 (8th September, 2025)

The day began with refreshing post-vacation enthusiasm, and the school atmosphere felt vibrant. In my allotted session, I introduced the new lesson “The Day My World Changed” by Malala Yousafzai. The students listened with interest as I narrated the background of Malala’s courage and determination. They engaged actively with the text, asking questions and sharing their views. Later, I helped in serving the mid-day meal, which gave me another chance to connect with them personally. It was a rewarding day that reminded me of the power of education in shaping young minds.
