ORIENTATION PROGRAMME ON TEACHING IN UAE - BEING A GLOBAL EDUCATOR

 
Fathima Memorial Training College , Mylapore, Kollam, hosted an impactful orientation programme on “Teaching in UAE – Being a Global Educator” on August 1, 2024. The event aimed to provide insights into the qualifications, procedures, and rewards of pursuing a teaching career in the UAE.

The programme kicked off with an introduction by Dr. Lakshmy Natarajan, Principal of FMTC, who served as the General Convenor. She highlighted the importance of global teaching opportunities and how they can enhance career prospects for educators. Ms. Bincy Sain, the Programme Convenor, discussed the main topics covered, including qualifications, obtaining a teaching license, and the costs and requirements involved in relocating to the UAE.

Key speakers such as Mr. George Christy Fernandez, a UAE ADEK/MOE Certified English Language Teacher, shared his valuable experiences teaching in Abu Dhabi, emphasizing preparedness and adaptation to a foreign teaching environment. Ms. Bincy George, MOE Approved Science Facilitator from Fujairah, added her insights on the role of women in teaching, further inspiring attendees.

The programme was a resounding success, equipping participants with essential knowledge and motivation to embark on their journey as global educators in the UAE.
