Celebrating Mother tongue Language Day

On February 21, 2025, Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, came alive with colors of culture and words of wisdom as the Malayalam Department hosted a vibrant celebration of International Mother Language Day. The event beautifully showcased the essence of linguistic diversity, reminding everyone that every language carries within it a world of identity, heritage, and emotion.

Students and faculty filled the day with soulful poetry recitations, captivating cultural performances, and thoughtful discussions on the importance of cherishing and preserving mother tongues. The atmosphere was one of pride and belonging, as voices blended to honor the richness of multilingualism.
More than a celebration, the program was a heartfelt tribute to the power of language—an enduring thread that unites communities, preserves traditions, and shapes who we are. The day concluded with a resonant reminder that protecting our native languages is protecting the very soul of our culture. 🌿✨
