Mega Cleanliness Drive: Swachhata Hi Seva at Kollam Collectorate

In celebration of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, 2024, the NSS unit of Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, Kollam, conducted a mega cleanliness drive as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva initiative. This event not only honored the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi but also aimed to promote cleanliness and hygiene in the community.

The cleanliness drive commenced with an inauguration ceremony held at the premises of the Kollam Collectorate. The event was graced by the presence of the District Collector, Sri Devidas N IAS, who was honored for his exemplary leadership in promoting cleanliness and sustainable practices within the district. Following the inauguration, NSS volunteers from Fathima Memorial Training College enthusiastically engaged in various activities aimed at enhancing the cleanliness of the Collectorate premises. Armed with gloves, garbage bags, and brooms, the students diligently worked to clear litter, collect waste, and beautify the environment.

Waste Collection: Volunteers gathered plastic waste, paper, and other debris littering the grounds, ensuring the area was clean and inviting.
